I don’t think any Chainsaw’s members is older than 21 years old (I saw them few months ago live and they really seemed to be youngsters) yet if this was a sort of quiz thing and I was due to judge the age of these guys by the music they play, I would have said we’re here dealing with some over 30, restless dudes longing to experiment some rockish stuff after many years spent playing traditional punk/hc. That’s the exact impression I get with the listen of this demo. These 6 songs sound like dirty, hc influenced rock’n roll. Almost a crossbreed beween Negative Approach, some Black Flag and Motorhead. Once again, there’s a very wild, almost hard rock, groove going on here that sounds really powerful. (Maybe because the bass is very loud and beefy?) The vocals are impudent and the back up vocals very hysteric, but in a good way, while the guitar is frantic and loud as hell. I’m still left here wondering how can this come up from 3 roman youngsters as these guys. This is fast, dirty rock’n roll played with guts and a hc vibe added. It sounds really good actually. Let’s see where this trio goes from here.
